When you receive your Kindred Candle, it's important that you let it burn for about 2-4 hours, depending on the size. You want to make sure the entire surface layer burns completely from edge to edge.

After the first burn, we typically recommend no longer than 4 hours of burn time. This is not only for safety purposes but it also ensures a clean burn and helps with candle longevity.

It's best to keep your wick trimmed to 1/4" in length. By doing so, you'll ensure that your Kindred Candle burns evenly and does not produce any soot. If your wick is too long, you'll notice your candle flickering rapidly.
