What’s Actually in Your Candle (and Why It Matters)

Okay random but… have you ever actually thought about what’s in your candle?
We light them all the time, but most of us don’t really question what we’re burning in our homes.
Not to be dramatic, but once you do look into it… it kind of changes things. In a good way.
Let’s start with the wax
Not all candles are created equal here.
We use 100% natural soy wax, which burns cleaner and more evenly than traditional paraffin wax (the kind that’s made from petroleum 👀).
Translation:
less soot, a smoother burn, and just overall better for your space.
The wick matters more than you think
It’s easy to overlook, but the wick plays a big role in how your candle burns.
Ours are made with lead-free cotton wicks, so you’re not getting any of those unnecessary extras while it’s burning.
It’s one of those small details that makes a big difference.
What about the fragrance?
This is the big one.
We use phthalate-free fragrance oils, which basically means you can enjoy your favorite scents without all the questionable ingredients that sometimes come with them.
And honestly, you can tell the difference...clean, true-to-scent, and never overpowering.
So what does “clean-burning” actually mean?
You’ll hear that phrase a lot, and it can feel a little vague.
For us, it simply means:
- natural soy wax
- lead-free cotton wicks
- phthalate-free fragrances
No unnecessary extras. Just a candle that burns beautifully and feels good to have in your home.
The little things add up
At the end of the day, lighting a candle is supposed to be a relaxing, cozy moment.
And when you know exactly what’s in it, it just hits a little different—in the best way.
It’s not about being perfect, it’s just about choosing things that feel a little better for your space.
